1 Corinthians 12:31
But earnestly desire the higher gifts. And I will show you a still more excellent way.

The Four Aspects of Patience:

1. Calm endurance: capacity to remain calm even when facing adversity, suffering, or delay
2. Perseverance: steadiness, consistency
3. Self-Control: the ability to govern emotions and reactions of frustration, anger or discontent with difficult people or situations
4. Long-Term Focus: the ability to wait for long-term rewards or outcomes, rather than seeking immediate gratification

Psalm 4:4
“be angry, and do not sin”

We have to resolve, to make up our mind, that we want to grow in this area.

James 4:1-3
What causes quarrels and what causes fights among you? Is it not this, that your passions are at war within you? 2 You desire and do not have, so you murder. You covet and cannot obtain, so you fight and quarrel. You do not have, because you do not ask. 3 You ask and do not receive, because you ask wrongly, to spend it on your passions.
