Grace’s Acre Community Garden has been serving the community around 12 Mile and Halsted for many years! Our garden is a free to use, organic garden with 16 raised beds on our Farmington Hills campus. Neighbors of our church are welcomed to sign up for a raised bed to plant in for one growing season starting in late April and ending in late October or early November depending on when those first frosts hit. The garden is a wonderful place for our church members to meet neighbors in our community as many of our gardeners don’t actually attend our church or any church for that matter!
We hope to expand our garden to include even more raised beds in the coming years. If you’d like to be involved, we host all hands on deck events for routine garden clean up and maintenance at the beginning and end of the growing season. If you’d like your own raised bed in our garden, let us know and we can send you our garden contract before we get ready to plant and assign beds in the spring.
