Deuteronomy 29:29
The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may follow all the words of this law.

Will of Command – What God commands us to do;
God’s laws; Love your neighbor, Love your God, Do Not Steal, Do Not Murder, etc.

Will of Decree:
Decree – an official statement that something must happen: a formal and authoritative order having the force of law. Ex: a presidential decree

Westminster Shorter Catechism (Q. 7):
What are the decrees(plans) of God?
The decrees of God are his eternal plan, based on the purpose of His will, by which, for His own glory, He has foreordained everything that happens.

Maturity is joyfully embracing the plans of God, without needing to be the main character in the plans of God.

Revelation 21:1 – 2
Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,”for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband.

God’s Good Plans Include Restoration Of All Things In Creation

Revelation 21:3
And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God.

God’s Good Plans Include His Permanent Presence

Revelation 21:4
‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

God’s Good Plans Turn Bad Things Into Former Things

Revelation 21:7
Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children.

In God’s cookbook of redemption, even bitter, boring and bland ingredients can produce a sweet dish.
