Dear Ward Church Family,
We write to you today with heavy hearts.
It is with profound sadness that we share the news that our beloved Senior Pastor, Dr. Scott McKee, has passed away. Pastor Scott’s faith, leadership, and love for Jesus shaped our church and touched countless lives. He was a shepherd to this congregation, a trusted voice of wisdom, and a faithful servant of Christ. We grieve this loss together as a church family.
We will hold a candlelight vigil tonight, Friday, March 27, from 5:00–8:00 p.m. in the Chapel at Ward Church Northville. In addition, the Chapel is open today and will remain open for anyone who would like to come and pray, grieve, or sit quietly in reflection.
As details regarding funeral arrangements and next steps become available, we will share them as soon as possible on our website.
We find solace in the words of Psalm 34:18:
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
The McKee family asks for privacy during this time and has requested that no flowers or food be sent. In the days ahead, our staff and elders will share ways to support the McKee family, along with opportunities for prayer and remembrance. For now, we ask that you pray for Pastor Scott’s family, for our church staff, and for one another.
