Season of Giving Offering

Membership

Declare Your Commitment

Thank you for expressing interest in becoming a member of Ward Church.

WHY MEMBERSHIP?

At Ward Church we recognize the need for a formal membership. We ask you to commit to membership for four reasons:

“…Christ loved the church, and he gave his life for it.” Ephesians 5:25

We live in an age where few want to be committed to anything…a job…a marriage…a church. Membership swims against the current of our society’s radical individualism and “consumer religion”. It is an unselfish decision. Commitment always builds character.

Every team must have a roster. Every school must have an enrollment. Every business has a payroll. Every army has an enlistment. Membership identifies our family.

The New Testament places major emphasis on the need for Christians to be accountable to each other for spiritual growth. You cannot be accountable when you’re not committed to any specific church family.

CONNECTION DESSERT

If you are fairly new to Ward, we would recommend that you attend our Connection Dessert first. This is the best way to learn about Ward Church, what we believe, how to get connected, and discover your next steps in your journey with Christ. To register, visit ward.church/dessert.

STEP 1

Attend our Ward DNA Class

The class revolves around God’s Story, Your Story and the World’s story. It explores Ward’s DNA: our key beliefs in these three key areas. We want all who attend Ward to be equipped in becoming a disciple who is growing in love for God, self, and others. This class is required for membership at Ward, though it does not obligate you to become a member. It is taught by Cindy Ziemba and Sean Carroll.

To register and attend one of our Ward DNA classes, please see below for available dates and more information.

NORTHVILLE

The DNA class is offered at our Northville campus as a class that meets two times on concurrent Sunday mornings for roughly 1 hour each time. Dates displayed below are for the first meeting in each class. You must register ahead of time to attend.

FARMINGTON HILLS

The DNA class is offered at our Farmington Hills campus as a class that meets on a single weekday evening for 2 hours. You must register ahead of time to attend. Click on one of the dates below for more information and to register.

STEP 2

Attend our Membership Class

This class is held two times a year on a Saturday morning. You will meet others joining the church along with staff and key leaders, learn more about essentials of the faith and what it means to be a member. Childcare is available during this class.

NEXT DATES:

November 9, 2024 & April 26, 2025 from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. in Chapel Suite 3 at our Northville campus. Both Northville and Farmington Hills attendees come to this class.

Only those who have taken the Ward DNA class can register for membership. If you have taken the Ward DNA class, watch your inbox for a link to register. Or, if you took the DNA class a while ago and now want to become a member, email Pastor of Spiritual Formation Sean Carroll at sean.carroll@ward.church.
