Good Plans: Defining, Discovering and Doing the Will of God

Sermon Series: January 5th - 19th

Good Plans: Defining, Discovering, and Doing the Will of God, invites us to start the new year by diving deeply into God’s purpose for our lives. Together, we’ll look at how God’s will is not only good but rooted in His ultimate plan to restore and redeem all things. Beginning with a theological foundation, we’ll explore what it means to understand God’s will as part of His grand design, seeing our place within a larger story. As we move through the series, we’ll consider how to seek God’s guidance and discern His will in our everyday lives, learning to rely on His wisdom instead of our own understanding. The journey doesn’t end with understanding, though; we’ll be challenged to live out God’s will daily by aligning our actions with His purposes.

Through this series, we’re called to step forward with faith, trusting that God’s plans are good and that He’s equipping us to follow His guidance with both intention and action.

Week 1: Defining the Will of God

In this opening message, we’ll introduce the Good Plans series by establishing a theological foundation for understanding God’s will. Through Revelation 21:1-7, we’ll explore the metanarrative of God’s grand plan—a plan centered not on us, but on God’s ultimate purpose for the restoration and redemption of all creation.

Week 2: Discovering the Will of God

In week two, we’ll shift our focus to the personal journey of discerning and discovering God’s will in our daily lives. We’ll explore what it means to seek God’s direction intentionally, learning to quiet our own desires and embrace His wisdom.

Week 3: Doing the Will of God

In the final week of our Good Plans series, we’ll focus on the call to actively do God’s will, emphasizing the importance of faithfulness and obedience. Through Matthew 7:21-23, we’ll see that aligning with God’s will means more than understanding His plans—it’s about embracing, applying, and living them out. True discipleship calls us to move beyond words into actions that reflect our commitment to Him.

As part of this sermon series, we invite you to join us on a transformative 21-day journey of prayer. Sign up below to receive your daily prayer guide and walk with us through this meaningful experience.
