Free Food at Ward Church
Ward’s Outreach team hopes to help in eliminating hunger within our community by sharing our Forgotten Harvest distribution even further. Many of our neighbors are suffering from economic hardship and need help with food more than ever before. Our local outreach team has created these cards for you to carry, so that you are equipped and prepared if you happen to come across a need. These are cards you can pass to someone you meet on the street or someone in your life that you know may be struggling with paying for their groceries. We would love for this card to be inspiring in a way that may even equip you to go the extra mile and perhaps build kits around these cards. Perhaps these cards could be included in a care bag, with a water bottle, snacks and care items for someone you might meet at a stoplight. We would love to practice audacious generosity and extra mile hospitality in our community and hope that these cards could help in spreading that message.
If you would like some of these cards to give out, stop by our Welcome Desks or Connection Center after service, we would love to share!
If you are in need of food, or know someone who is, you can pick up a box no questions asked at Forgotten Harvest. All families in need or those who would like to pick up food to deliver to those they know are welcomed to do so every Monday, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. (or until the food runs out) at Entry 2.
