Packed with Family Fun

Families won’t want to miss this completely free, totally entertaining, hands-on Christmas experience! The Christmas Festival includes two showtimes of FX: A Family Experience featuring the infamous and outrageous character, Reginald Fastidious III, and an entire afternoon of unforgettable fun!

Activities beginning at 10:30 a.m. and continuing to 2 p.m. include:

  • Balloon Artist
  • Crafts
  • Cookie Decorating
  • Photo Booths
  • Caroling Carriage Rides (real horses, free rides!)
  • Petting Zoo
  • Inflatable
  • Free Lunch

FX: A Family Experience Showtimes

  • 9:30 & 11:00 a.m.
  • No Tickets Required

FX: A Family Experience is a high energy, full production drama with games and interactive elements that capture the attention of parents and children. This one-hour extravaganza introduces one virtue families can explore more at home in the following weeks. This month’s virtue is compassion.

How does this impact Sunday morning services and programming?

There WILL be:

  • Classic Worship Services at 8 a.m. (in the Chapel) and 9:30 + 11:00 a.m. (in the Sanctuary)
  • FX: A Family Experience at 9:30 + 11:00 a.m. (in Knox Hall)
  • Children’s programming for birth through pre-k
  • Potter’s Wheel

There will NOT be:

  • Modern Worship Services
  • Sunday Morning Groups for Adults
  • Middle School Morning Gathering
  • Children’s programming for Kindergarten and up

Who is FX: A Family Experience for?

FX: A Family Experience is geared toward children kindergarten through fifth grade with a parent or guardian. However, all are welcome to attend and you’ll often see a wide range of ages in attendance for this fun and interactive production.

What should I wear?

Every weekend we see a wide range of attire, so dress as you feel comfortable.

Where should I park?

If you are new to Ward, please enter our campus using the main boulevard entrance on Six Mile Road, just west of Haggerty and Cross Roads. There will be parking lot attendants to direct you to your spot.

If you attend Ward regularly, please note that the main entrance drop-off, as well as the ring road and drop-off by Entry 6 and 7, will be closed in order to be used for the Caroling Carriage Rides. If you need to drop someone off near the Sanctuary, please use the Entry 5 drop-off by the Shuttle Service.
