Easter at Ward Church
Join us the entire Lenten season for a series of events culminating on Easter Sunday, April 20 as we experience God's love and celebrate the victory of Jesus over death, together.

Join us this Lenten Season

During Lent, the forty days leading up to Resurrection Sunday, we naturally focus on Jesus’ identity as the sacrificial Lamb of God. Jesus is more than a lamb, however; He is the Good Shepherd. For our Spring 2025 church-wide series, we’ll spend seven weeks going line by line through Psalm 23—a relatively short, three-thousand-year-old poem that depicts God’s love, goodness, and provision with unforgettable imagery.

Whether you're a long-time believer or simply curious about the Christian faith, our services and events this Lenten season promise to be a powerful experience of God's love and the victory of Jesus over death.

Celebrate with Us

Leading up to Easter Sunday, we offer multiple ways that the entire family can enjoy and experience the season.

Easter Offering

Our dedication to giving back to Detroit, the birthplace of Ward Church, has always been closely connected to our collaboration with Central Detroit Christian (CDC). This Easter season presents us with an amazing opportunity to support CDC through our Easter Offering. Together, we can help eliminate their outstanding mortgage—just $142,000 separates them from achieving an even greater impact in ministry. Imagine the possibilities when this financial burden is lifted, enabling CDC to serve the city with even greater freedom and purpose!
