Connect with Us
We go to places where Jesus communities do not yet exist. We speak and serve in culturally relevant ways. We put love in action and we do it to reach people with the good news of Jesus.
Ward supports over 60 missionaries and other global partner organizations. Information about our partners is available at our Missions Wall just inside Entry 1, or on our beta Ward Serves the Nations website.
Looking for mission trip giving? Head on over to our myWARD portal.
Each year, Ward takes a number of short-term ministry trips to support our global partners and other strategic ministries.
All of our 2020 trips have been canceled due to COVID-19
This 2020 trip has been canceled due to COVID-19
The main purpose will be to interact with the children and teachers at our Open Doors sponsored school in Gaya. This interaction will include 3-4 days of classroom teaching for the children (topics to be determined but plan on things like crafts, music, science & math, geography, etc.), plus 1-2 days of training for the teachers (more detail to follow as trip planning begins). In addition, we would like to have 2-3 medical personnel who can provide physical assessments of the children and possibly members of their families during the week (but would also be willing/able to teach during the other times). So in addition to the specific MD/RN/NP roles, we would be looking for volunteers willing to work with kids from K-8 in the classroom topics noted above, but also to generally show God’s love by “being there” and connecting with them.
Medical and non-medical team members in excellent health, able to cope with extreme temperatures/humidity and arduous travel, will conduct medical clinics in villages under the direction of Rev. Jean Pierre Dabou. French-speakers, medical personnel, and people who have not been part of previous Mali Medical teams are especially encouraged to apply.
The team will focus on serving about 100 kids at a camp in Macedonia through ESL, sports, games, snacks and prayer. Those with ESL skills are encouraged to apply. Trip dates are June 14-29, 2020 and the cost of the trip is $2500 per person. An informational meeting will be held on 10/27/19 at 12:30 p.m. in Conference Center Breakout Room B. An $100 non-refundable deposit is due upon registration with the balance due at a later date.
This mission outreach provides volunteers an opportunity to build three exterior decks to complete new housing for KCAM radio ministry missionaries. Located 187 miles from Anchorage, KCAM has been serving the Copper River Valley community since 1964, which includes the native Ahtna people who are the largest American Indian tribe in Alaska’s interior. KCAM’s programming is often the only church experience available to many in this isolated area and is key to helping listeners learn about Christ and his love for them. In addition to building decks, the team will have the chance to explore the area, tour the radio station, help with radio announcements, minister to the locals and spend time praying for this important ministry. We are looking for those with skills in construction, painting, tile work, wood splitting and/or catching, cleaning and packaging salmon (winter food supply for missionaries). An $100 non-refundable deposit is due upon registration with the balance due at a later date.
We will be working dually with our partners at EPC and Not Abandoned. We will serve and learn with Christians of Muslim background at a evangelism training conference, work and visit with new church plants and with human trafficking rescue stations. Max attendees is 7.
An $100 non-refundable deposit is due upon registration with the balance due at a later date.
The team will be partnering with Not Abandoned, an organization located in Pattaya, Thailand to work with women made vulnerable by sex slavery. We will be connecting with and building relationships with these women and providing them with practical options to start a new life of freedom. Throughout our time there, the team will spend about 9 days building relationships and doing outreach to these women. At the end of the experience, we will have a big celebration dinner to acknowledge the new relationships built and connect the women to the programs and classes that Not Abandoned provides. An $100 non-refundable deposit is due at registration with the balance due at a later date.
