DEALING WITH GRIEF

Has your grief left you feeling overwhelmed? Or at times like you might be going crazy? Have you felt all alone with your grief? Do you feel like God has abandoned you? Are you riding an emotional roller coaster?

If you have answered “yes” to any of these questions, we invite you to join us for one of the opportunities listed here. There is hope for the tomorrow – join us on the journey!

We partner with two locally based grief support groups, New Hope Center for Grief Support and GriefShare, who offer various programs, seminars and groups throughout the year. See what’s coming up next.

NEW HOPE CENTER FOR GRIEF SUPPORT

From Grief to New Hope Workshop

Ward Church hosts two FREE 8-week sessions a year on Monday nights starting at 6:45 p.m. One in the Fall and one in the Spring. Please see the most upcoming dates below, to find out more information and to register.

Starting Again Peer Support Group

Navigating through grief after the death of a spouse is incredibly difficult, but you don’t have to go through that process alone. Starting Again is a peer-led grief support program for widows and widowers. New Hope Center for Grief Support provides a forum where people can share their experiences with others who have gone through similar loss. Discussions include dealing with grief issues, learning coping skills, and searching for answers together. Our goal is to help each person find hope, healing, and new beginnings in life. No pre-registration required – just show up.

When: First and third Thursday monthly from 7-8:30 p.m.
Where: Elementary Studio 01 and some Creative Lab spaces (use Entry 4 for easy access)

Memorial Candlelight Ceremony

Remember your loved one during difficult holidays and special occasions, even years after their passing. Light a candle to symbolize our grief, courage, memories, love, and hope. Ward Church hosts this beautiful ceremony every year in December. Please see the most upcoming date below, to find out more information and to register.

GRIEFSHARE

We welcome you to join our GriefShare Group no matter where you are on your grief journey, at our Farmington Hills Campus. You are welcome to join at any time during the 13-week sessions (upcoming dates below). Each session covers a different aspect of grief which you will find helpful and encouraging.

Grief is difficult and GriefShare will offer answers to a lot of your questions but most importantly you will find hope and reassurance for the days ahead.

GriefShare is a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experiences. You don’t have to go through the grieving process alone.
