This year, our camp will be held here on the beautiful campus of Ward Church, Monday, June 21-24. Join us for a great week of learning about Jesus, fun and more!
Before COVID-19, Ward Care Ministries hosted a Grandparents Raising Grandchildren group, but since the pandemic began in March our group has not been able to meet. We want to announce that our group leader, Elaine K. Williams, LMSW, Cht., and author of the book, “The Sacred Work of Grandparents Raising Grandchildren” has started a Facebook page for grandparents raising their grandchildren on a full-time or part-time basis.
For fathers and daughters of all ages! We’ll meet at Heavner Canoe and Kayak Rental on October 10 at 10:30 a.m. for cider and donuts, launch canoes at 11:00 a.m. and enjoy a leisurely canoe trip to the Proud Lake waterfall (dam). Then we’ll turn around to return to the canoe launch site and have a picnic lunch at about 1:00 p.m. and wrap up to go home by 2:30 p.m.
Moms now more than ever are tired, worn out and spent. MOPS is a place where YOU can get a break. This year MOPS will look different, but the saying, “We LOVE You, We GOT You” remains the same.
Experience a time away from civilization, hearty meals cooked outdoors, a peaceful (or maybe not!) ride down the Muskegon River, incredible scenery, hanging around a campfire, endless fellowship, and much more…all in one weekend at this year’s Father/Son Canoe Weekend. Grandpas, grandsons, uncles, nephews, and friends are welcome to attend too!
July is here and we are excited to announce a family series on Jonah! Each week during Sunday services you can gather around and enjoy church as a family. Adults and kids will be learning about Jonah. It’s a journey through deep fears and anxiety, only trumped by God’s patience, grace and forgiveness. Can’t we all relate? WardKids has created a custom coloring + activity book (for any and all ages) that goes along with Jonah’s journey each week!
Join us on Tuesday, June 16 for our first ever Family Field Day! Come to the Ward Church parking lot anytime between the hours of 6-8 p.m. for pure family fun.
Mother’s Day highlights the gap that exists between what we wish were true and what isn’t. It’s a day where we are confronted with our highest hopes and our current disappointments.
Children love to be read to and we love to read! While we can’t be together in person, we will be doing this on Facebook Live! Stories are geared toward preschool-aged children. Registration is not required. Invite your friends to a watch party! Storytime occurs every Thursday at 10 a.m. on Facebook.
Sunday, March 1 at 9:30 a.m. in Knox Hall – FX is an amazing event in Knox Hall where kids (K-Grade 5) bring parents and grandparents to learn. High-energy, high-production drama, games and interactions introduce a memorable virtue, with attitudes and behaviors to match.
