Matthew 2:1-2
After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem 2 and asked, “Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.”

This journey requires us to know where we are starting, what our destination is, and how we will know we are on the right path.

Moses: Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the children of Israel out of Egypt?”
Exodus 3:11

Saul/Paul: “Who are you, Lord?”
Acts 9:5

Gideon: “If the Lord is with us, why then has all this happened to us?”
Judges 6:13

David: “How long, O Lord? Will you forget me forever?”
Psalm 13:1

The Israelites: “Can God spread a table in the wilderness?”
Psalm 78:19

John 1:38
“What are you looking for?”

Matthew 16:15
“Who do you say I am?”

Matthew 9:28
“Do you believe that I am able to do this?”

John 13:12
“Do you understand what I have done for you?

John 9:35-38
35 Jesus heard that they had thrown him out, and when he found him, he said, “Do you believe in the Son of Man?” 36 “Who is he, sir?” the man asked. “Tell me so that I may believe in him.” 37 Jesus said, “You have now seen him; in fact, he is the one speaking with you.” 38 Then the man said, “Lord, I believe,” and he worshiped him. Slide 8: “Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.”

Where are you in your journey? Is your destination trying to be worry-free or pain-free or suffering-free, or is your destination worship, no matter what comes your way?

The founders of every major religion said, “I’ll show you how to find God.” Jesus said, “ I am God who has come to find you.”
–Tim Keller

Revelation 3:20
“Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.”
