Important Update

The 2024 Operation Christmas Child collection is complete. The shoeboxes are on their way to the Chicago Processing Center. If you have a shoebox, please send it directly to Samaritan’s Purse, 801 Bamboo Road, Boone NC 28607 or hold onto it until next year. Thank you.

Operation Christmas Child

Every 30 seconds, a child comes to Christ through a shoebox! Each shoebox is given to the child by a ministry partner in their community who shares the love of Christ with the child.

Interested in volunteering? Contact Sally at shoebox@ward.church.

Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes go to over 100 countries to the neediest children who may have never received a gift. Local partners in each country use the shoeboxes along with the message of Christ as a tool to bring many children and their families to faith. Most children also have an opportunity to take a follow up discipleship course called The Greatest Journey.

Fill a shoebox

Choose a boy or girl in one of three age groups; 2-4; 5-9 or 10-14; and fill an empty shoebox with a “wow” item such as a doll, stuffed animal or soccer ball and pump. Then, fill it with school supplies, personal hygiene items (no liquids), small toys and $10 to cover shipping. View suggested items to include, by age range, at the Samaritan’s Purse website.
