In our fast-paced, modern world, we have sadly come to expect daily anxiety and stress as normal – something we all have to “just deal with”. For those with chronic anxiety, the feeling of being on edge, worried, or overwhelmed can begin to seem so constant that it’s impossible to change. Worry no longer!
On June 12 at 7 p.m. Matthew Swartz, Clinical Therapist, and Counselor, (PCS-Counseling) will present a greater understanding of how anxiety works. We’ll explore how the right set of skills and tools, can help individuals learn not just to reduce their anxiety and stress, but how to fill their life with joy, peace, and calm. This talk will be helpful both for those who are anxious and stressed, and also those who have a loved one with anxiety issues. We will focus on explaining what anxiety is, how it works in our brain and our body, how we can support those who experience anxiety, and how we can free ourselves from the downward spiral. We will also explore the connection between anxiety and our faith journeys, and the role anxiety has in waking us up to a deeper experience of our lives.
This is a NO COST event presented by Ward Care Ministries, but please let us know if you plan to attend. This seminar is geared for adults and children 13 and over. Childcare up to age 12 is available with advanced registration.
