    Nicole Unice, author, Bible teacher, and international presenter will be our conference speaker sharing her current work, “Victorious.” She has a passion for bringing God’s word to life in personal and relevant ways. Nicole’s training as a counselor guides her work, with an emphasis on the importance of facing our own reality and embracing the transforming power of God’s grace. Most recently, Nicole served as an Assistant Pastor at Hope Church EPC in Richmond, Virginia. She currently leads Praxis, a full-time ministry residency program for young leaders.     Volunteers are needed for the hospitality, venue preparation, and food teams. If you are interested in serving on a team, please email jenni.miller@ward.church and indicate your team preference.


    What date and time does the conference begin?

    Day One of the conference begins at 6:45 p.m. on Friday, October 25, with Knox Hall doors open at 6:15 p.m. Day Two of the conference begins at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 26th with doors opening at 8:15 a.m.

    Which is the best entrance to park by for this particular event?

    The event will be held in Knox Hall, so we recommend either Entry 1, 3 or 4.

    Will child care be provided?

    Although, Ward loves kiddos, we want to ensure our childcare volunteers have a chance to participate at this conference, so no childcare will be available.

    What should I wear to this event?

    Please wear comfortable clothing that will help you enjoy this conference.

    If I am new to Ward and don’t know anyone should I attend this conference?

    Yes! Our friendly check-in table volunteers, greeters and table hosts can’t wait to personally welcome you! Please join us to make new friends and allow this event to be a dedicated time for you to refresh!

    Will food and beverages be served?

    Absolutely, we like to eat! Friday night donuts, pumpkin pies and fruit along with cider, tea, coffee and water will be available. On Saturday morning, quiche, bagels, fruit, yogurt and beverages will be provided when guests arrive with a mid-morning snack of fruit, protein bars and more!

    Is there assigned seating?

    Yes. When you register for this event, you have the option of selecting a table number that will be your assigned table for both Friday night and Saturday.

    Do I need to bring my Bible?

    Yes. We encourage you to bring your Bible to this event as we dig through scriptures and explore God’s word.

    What if I expect to be late in arriving at the conference or need to leave a little earlier?

    Come anyway! We know schedules have competing activities. We hope you are able to stay and participate for the entire conference and will understand, if you need to slip in or out due to another commitment.
