Job 1:7-11
The Lord said to Satan, “Where have you come from?”
Satan answered the Lord, “From roaming throughout the earth, going back and forth on it.”
Then the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil.”
“Does Job fear God for nothing?” Satan replied. “Have you not put a hedge around him and his household and everything he has? You have blessed the work of his hands, so that his flocks and herds are spread throughout the land. But now stretch out your hand and strike everything he has, and he will surely curse you to your face.”
Job 1:20-22 ESV
Then Job arose and tore his robe and shaved his head and fell on the ground and worshiped. And he said, “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return. The LORD gave, and the LORD has taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.”
Satan – The Accuser
Revelation 12:10-11
“Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say:
“Now have come the salvation and the power
and the kingdom of our God,
and the authority of his Messiah.
For the accuser of our brothers and sisters,
who accuses them before our God day and night,
has been hurled down.
They triumphed over him
by the blood of the Lamb”
Big Idea:
The gospel of Jesus Christ justifies me against the accusations of the enemy, freeing me from having to be my lawyer and your judge.
1 Peter 5:6-7
Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
1 Peter 5:8
“Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.”
1 Peter 5:9
“Resist him, standing firm in the faith..”
1 Peter 5:9
“…because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.”
1 Peter 5:10
And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.
Justification:
Justification is the belief that by his grace, God declares sinners who repent and trust in Jesus’s finished work on the cross as forgiven and righteous in God’s eyes. This is a final and unchanging verdict.

The gospel of Jesus Christ justifies me against the accusations of the enemy, freeing me from having to be my lawyer and your judge.
1 Peter 5:11
“To him be the power forever and ever. Amen.”
