Need a reset? Maybe you’re growing weary of political polarization, family fractions, and COVID chaos. Let us withdraw for some time with God, and seek a divine reset.
This Sunday, author and pastor Nicole Unice will teach about the importance of “the chair,” those critical moments when we get alone with God and allow him to re-center our soul. Hearing God’s voice is a skill that can be developed.
If you plan to join us in person Sunday, please register in advance. We need to monitor our numbers to provide the safest experience. You can read the details at ward.church/togetheragain. If you are feeling ill or are simply not ready for a large indoor gathering, join us online instead.
As part of Sunday’s service, I will lead us in a time of prayer which will focus on confession and repentance. I tell you this in advance in spite of the risk that the word “repentance” may be initially off-putting to some and may tempt you to skip. Repentance, when rightly understood, is key to the life that God intends and is practically the best thing we can do for our world right now.
Please come Sunday with a spirit of openness and humility. You may want to read 2 Chronicles 7:13-14 and Revelation 2:4-5 in preparation.
God will meet us in a special way this Sunday!
