  • Recap + Photos: Man Camp

Ward Church Men's Ministry 1 month ago

Ten of our Ward Church guys joined about 200 men from around the area at this year’s “Man Camp” sponsored by Kensington Church and held at Spring Hill camp, Oct. 8-10! It was a great time of fun, growth and companionship.

From Ward’s Executive Director Kyle Nabors, who helped to coordinate Ward’s group: The event was a base camp of sorts – a place that serves as a staging area for larger activities – a place of preparation for a trek, exploration, or adventure.  We had great team competitions, greasy food at mid-night, great worship, small groups, campfires, and fantastic bible teaching that prepared us for the adventures of life ahead. It was a retreat that challenged us to see how Jesus is moving in us and in our world. It reminded us that God is with us on the journey – in both the ups and downs. After this past season, there are so many reasons for going to place of preparation. It’s not our lows or highs that define us, but how we respond and who we have by our side as we do. We came away encouraged, more connected, and have a greater sense of brotherhood. Monumental decisions were made, relationships were built, and we each took steps that will forever change our legacy.
