Ward Church Outreach 2 weeks ago

Mark your calendars for the launch meeting: Sunday, Jan. 29 at 11:45 a.m. in the Conference Center at the Northville campus. No registration required.

After a nearly three-year hiatus, we are so excited to announce the relaunch of short-term “impact” trips with three scheduled for 2023! Impact trips are exciting ways you can be on mission for Christ and serve as his hands and feet in areas near and far. These trips range in length from one to two weeks and there’s something for every age and stage.

Below, check out some brief overviews of each trip and mark your calendars. Registration for each trip will open in Q1 2023. A launch meeting is scheduled for Sunday, Jan. 29 at 11:45 a.m. You can meet the trip leaders and sign up to be on mailing lists so you can get all the updates and get alerted when registration goes live.

Spain Impact Trip, May 27-June 4

Our team will work with vulnerable and exploited women at the Not Abandoned Freedom Center in Algeciras, Spain. We will lead group discussion with the women around topics like women’s physical and mental health, processing trauma and how to set and achieve life goals. We’re looking for team members with a variety of skill sets including experience counseling women on topics like domestic violence and trauma, teaching art therapy and health professionals with a gynecology specialty.

    Appalachian Impact Trip, July 9-15

Our team will be working with a local church in Menifee County, Kentucky, teaching students literacy, robotics, coding and crafts. This trip is a great opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus by serving the children in this Appalachian region. This is a multi-generational trip; everyone ages 5 and up are welcome. Minor children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

    Thailand Impact Trip, Nov. 2-13

Our team will travel to Pattaya, Thailand, which is the world’s largest human trafficking hub. We will do outreach to girls and women who are being exploited and connect them with staff at the Not Abandoned Freedom Center. At this center, the women have access to practical programs and services that provide hope and a way out of the sexual exploitation they face each day. We’re seeking both men and women, ages 21 and up, to join our team.
