    Ward Church programs are back for the fall! Kicking off on September 12!

    There’s so much happening at Ward Church this fall and we welcome you and your family to join in on the fun, learning and growth we are believing for in this new season. Check out what’s launching soon and what’s coming in the next few weeks. Mark your calendars and sign up to participate!

    Adult Sunday Morning Groups: Plan to join a Sunday morning group – each class is officially starting on Sept. 12. Learn more below!

    Sunday Morning Groups: 8 a.m.


    • Starts: September 12, 2021
    • Room: Chapel Suite 1 & 2
    • 8 a.m.
    • Led by Keith Hobbins and Jim Robinson
    • Study: A three-week study of the Book of Hebrews

    All ages welcome – current age composition is Boomers and Empty Nesters, singles and married couples. Footsteps uses a lively interactive and deductive style with some home preparation. The group is involved in outside activities which promote service and fellowship.

    How Now Shall We Live in 2021? 

    • Starts: September 12, 2021

    • 9 a.m.
    • Led by various Ward pastors and lay leaders

    Ward pastors and leaders will present the things that have been weighing on them in this crucial time, and how God has been speaking to them about what the Christian response should be. Various topics will be explored with open invitation for discussion.

    • Study: In-depth study of Micah 6:8. What does it mean to do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly?

    A group for young families with toddler to school-age children.

    • Study: Discussion of Sermon

    All ages welcome – current age composition is Boomers and Empty Nesters. A mid-sized group of couples (married and unmarried) seeking to connect with other couples in fellowship, teaching, prayer, and worship as each grows in their relationship with Christ. We engage in many social activities to encourage everyone to feel at home and know each other.

    A group for all generations who want to live and love like Jesus.

    Ordinary Vessels

    • Starts: September 12, 2021

    • Led by Dr. David Wood and Jim Ewing
    • Study: Book of Colossians

    All ages welcome – current age composition is Boomers and Empty Nesters. We are an easy-going group with a wide range of ages and life experiences. This fall we will begin a detailed study in the book of Colossians. Our objectives are to fall more in love with the preeminent Christ, determine to seek the things that are above and put to death what is earthly in us.

    All ages welcome – current age composition is Parents of High School/College Students & Empty Nesters. Our name comes from Hebrews 10:24-25 – “And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds…”

    A community of singles and marrieds in our 40s and up dedicated to knowing Christ and making Him known through service to God, each other, our neighborhood and the world around us.

    Tuesday Morning Groups:  Starting Sept. 14, the Tuesday morning groups for women will meet you wherever you are in your spiritual journey or stage of life, all women are welcomed to join us as we seek to connect the dots between life and faith. Learn more and sign up!

    WardStudents Kick-off: All students grades 6-12 are invited to the BIG PARTY on Wednesday, Sept. 15! Come for the live DJ, inflatables, food, fun – come to hang out, meet new leaders and have an awesome time! Check it out on Facebook!

    WardStudents Weekly programming: Starting Sept. 19, we’ll offer a Sunday morning Middle School program at 9 a.m. in the Students Room! On Wednesdays from 6:30-8 p.m. at Ward Church, we are resuming our usual weekly WardStudents Connect for our middle school and high school students.

    Young Adults: Ward Young Adults is launching on Tuesday, September 14 with a preview night starting at 7 p.m. in the Students Room. Come learn about the future of the ministry, the staff, small groups, and all that we have to offer. Enjoy food and fellowship and meet other young adults. Learn more.

    DivorceCare: The fall program resumes on Thursday evenings from 7 – 9 p.m., beginning September 16, 2021. At DivorceCare groups, people in separation and divorce finds tools, teaching and support to help them deal with their pain and give them hope for the future. Learn more.

    Potter’s Wheel: Starting September 12 in Chapel Suite 3 at 10:30 a.m., led by Bethany Crane. This group for developmentally challenged adults is led by trained, caring leaders. Participants enjoy individual attention in a class featuring music, engaging Bible lessons, prayer time, occasional crafts and special events. Learn more.

    MOPS: MOPS Kickoff Bonfire is on September 23 from 7-8:30 pm. Bring your own lawn chair. Cider and donuts will be provided along with a fun evening with lots of mamas. Park in Lot 2 at Ward Church and look for ladies in MOPS pink shirts for any questions. This MOPS year will be different so please visit here to find out more!

    Small Groups: Our next small group study will start on Oct. 3. Our study will follow the fall sermon series – Return: The Call of the Minor Prophets for Today. Sign up for a small group now!

    Financial Peace University: Millions of people have changed their future by following the baby steps taught in Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University. This 9-week class is being led by Ward members Sheri and Bob Zeuner this fall on Tuesdays at 6:30 pm (for 1-1/2 to 2 hours). Class starts Tuesday, Sept. 14.     Support + Recovery: If you are experiencing a difficult time in life, we have three programs that help minister to those who are hurting. The fall programs are launching this September. Read more about how you can get involved.

    Celebrate Recovery

    Celebrate Recovery: This Christ-centered recovery group is for all of life’s hurts, habits, and hang-ups; the only requirement for membership is a desire to change. Takes place every Thursday night, no registration required. Learn more.


    DivorceCare: People going through separation and divorce finds tools, teaching and support to help them deal with their pain and give them hope for the future. The fall program starts on Sept. 16, from 7-9 at Ward Church. Learn more.

    Grief to New Hope Workshop

    Grief to New Hope Workshop: If you or someone you know is grieving the death of a loved one, consider attending this free 8-week workshop presented by New Hope Center for Grief Support, a Christian-based bereavement outreach center. You can choose to join either online or attend in-person (indicate which format you’ll choose when you register). Learn more.

    Pioneer Girls: Pioneer Girls Club is a Christ-centered and Bible-based club program for girls in grades 1-6, meeting on Tuesday evenings 7:00-8:30 during the school year, in the Elementary Wing of Ward Church. The next season is starting on Sept. 14 from 7-8:30 p.m. every Tuesday. Learn more and sign up.
