WINTER TERM: JANUARY 11 – APRIL 26, 2022

Tuesday Groups are a time of Bible study, but they are so much more. They’re a place where friendships are formed, life is shared with others, and our hearts are shaped by God’s life-changing truth. Wherever you are in your spiritual journey or stage of life you are always welcomed to join us as we seek to connect the dots between life and faith. Tuesday Study Groups are ALWAYS open to newcomers.

NOTE: Due to the current health climate, registration for groups is required so as to be in compliance with room capacity numbers. With the exception of Community Bible Class, participants are responsible for ordering your own study materials.

AM Classes

Morning Community Bible Class
January 11-April 26 from 9:30-11:30 a.m.

Where: Chapel or online via Zoom (will participate with in-person attendees virtually via a Zoom TV)

Leader: Pam Dodge

Childcare: Everyone needs to register ahead of time for childcare (see below).

Topic: Following God in Stressful Times: A Study in 2 Samuel: Stress and change are a part of everyone’s life, like it or not. This study will focus on the lives of three men – Samuel, Saul, and David as they led Israel through a difficult transition from 12 independent tribes to the formation of a united monarchy. These men lived out their lives where we live it, in situations of change and doubt where the best course of action is not always clear and even when we see the best course, we do not always take it. A study of their lives and what they learned about God will help us as we struggle with life and attempt to make sense of it. Our goal will be to learn from their failures as well as the things they did right.

The Bible study is open to every woman, no matter where you are in your spiritual journey or stage of life. It is designed to help you grow in your relations to God and give you practical, biblical perspectives on life, family, work and more. Large group instruction is followed by small groups that challenge, support and encourage one another.

Materials: $4 for Bible study materials; $2 for optional binder

How to participate: You do not need to register ahead of time unless you are new. You can choose to attend in person or online. Register for the participation option you prefer:

She’s Got Issues: Nicole Unice shines on video in this inspiring six-session DVD-based study. As she does in the book, Nicole talks candidly about how the everyday issues that drive you crazy affect you . . . and why you don’t have to settle for letting them win. Some days living up to the whole good-Christian image seems impossible. You do the right things (well, most of the time), but you just don’t feel changed by your faith. Deep down, you’re still dealing with the ordinary struggles—control, insecurity, comparison, fear, anger, and unforgiveness—that hold you back from living free and loving well. The good news? You don’t have to “fix” yourself. You have access to the power of Christ. His power can transform your everyday weaknesses into your greatest strengths and gifts.

Materials: There is an accompanying study workbook that will help you follow along with the teaching and scripture shared in the sessions, and provides discussion questions, supplemental reading and activities, and personalized action steps that you commit to take: She’s Got Issues: Seriously Good News for Stressed-Out, Secretly Scared Control Freaks Like Us. You can purchase on Amazon.
