The Daniel Plan: 40 Days to a Healthier Life

  • Wednesdays Sept. 19-Nov. 14
  • 7:00-8:30 p.m. in Chapel Suite 3
  • Leaders: Teri Temby and Tamra Vandenberg

Join us for a short introductory meeting on Sunday, Sept. 16 in Chapel Suite 3 at 12:30 p.m. and find out more about The Daniel Plan.

This  8-week class uses Pastor Rick Warren’s book and is centered on five essentials that will launch your journey to health: faith, food, fitness, focus, and friends. The Daniel Plan is a practical lifestyle program is designed to help you achieve health in every area of your life. It is a gracious approach to a healthy lifestyle, encouraging you to take things one step at a time as you move steadily toward better health. It’s about abundance, not deprivation, and this is why the plan is both transformational and sustainable. The most important benefit of following The Daniel Plan is that you will develop the energy necessary to fulfill your God-given mission here on Earth.

Registration is closed, but walk-ins are welcome.

Fall Midweek Bible Study

  • Wednesdays Sept. 12-Dec. 12
  • 7:00-8:30 p.m. in Chapel Suite 1 + 2
  • The Book of Judges
  • Teacher: Pastor Ken Fresh

The Book of Judges describes a time of moral, spiritual, and ethical darkness; a society without standards whose lifestyle is captured in a thoroughly modern phrase found at the end of the book: “Everyone did what was right in his own eyes” (21:25).  Sound familiar? Maybe they didn’t have lockdowns in schools and internet porn like we do today, but they had the same me-centered “I” problem. The Book of Judges presents us with living examples of people who served God at such a time who not only survived spiritually but flourished. At the same time, Judges presents us with people who did not survive, but who succumbed to the wave of sin.  Judges shows us our potential for greatness, but also our capacity for depravity.
