This class uses The Daniel Plan book, by Pastor Rick Warren, Dr. Daniel Amen, and Dr. Mark Hyman. It is centered on five essentials that will launch your journey to health: faith, food, fitness, focus, and friends. This practical lifestyle program, designed to help you achieve health in every area of your life is a gracious approach, encouraging you to take things one step at a time as you move steadily toward better health. It’s about abundance, not deprivation, and this is why the plan is both transformational and sustainable. The most important benefit is that you will develop the energy necessary to fulfill your God-given mission here on Earth.
The Daniel Plan book will be available for sale the first evening of class for $7. For questions contact Tamra at email@example.com

- 1 Corinthians: “How to Have a Healthy Church”
- Teacher: Pastor Ken Fresh
Paul’s letter to the church at Corinth is a very practical one. We will see that challenges the first century Christians faced are not so different from those of our own today. Struggles in the areas of leadership and authority, morality, gifts, worship, marriage and divorce were dividing and hurting the church. Sound familiar? We too can learn from the Apostle Paul as he gives clear and compelling answers to all of these important issues so that our faith and daily walk with Christ may be strengthened and our church will be healthy.
No registration is required for this class, simply show up.
- Seven weeks, Sundays, February 10 – March 24, 2019
- Meets 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. in the Hub Meeting Room
- Led by Paul and Wendy McGhee
What’s the best news you’ve ever heard? Was it surprising? Did it change the way you think? Or was it something you wanted to be true but didn’t dare hope?
Christianity Explored is a relaxed and informal way to find out more about the life of the person at the heart of the Christian faith – Jesus Christ, and gives people space and time to think about the big questions of life. Using Mark’s Gospel, the structure of each session is simple: a short Bible study and a discussion based on the material covered.
- Sundays beginning Jan. 13
- 9:00 a.m.-10:30 a.m. in Hub Meeting Room
- Leader: Bob Hayes
This fall, we embarked on a sermon series and small group study around 5 habits to B.L.E.S.S. our neighbors. Encouraged by the stories shared and the impact this series had in our neighborhoods, Ward is now offering a learning community on Sunday mornings with new, extended study content around the B.L.E.S.S. habits.
This study will be helpful to anyone who participated in the small group study as well as those who have not. If you’re wanting to live with gospel intentionality where you live, work and play, then join this study! This learning community will be taught by Bob Hayes and begins January 13, occurring Sundays at 9:30 a.m. in the Hub Meeting Room.
