Join us for an evening of Christmas celebration focusing on friendship, community, fabulous desserts and an amazing speaker, Marsha Brown! Marsha will draw from her experience of serving the Lord for over 40 years through various women’s ministries. She’ll show how the biblical characters Elizabeth, Mary and Anna waited for the coming of Jesus, their Savior, and how we can learn to wait on the Lord as we move through the seasons of our lives.

We’ll close out the evening with a couple of everyone’s favorite Christmas carols. This is an event you want to make sure you attend. Don’t come alone; bring your girlfriends and female family members! And, bring a special Christmas tea cup or coffee mug with you as a conversation piece at your table! About Marsha Brown

Marsha Brown has been ministering to women for over 40 years. She was a part of the inaugural MOPS leadership team at Ward Church, helping to establish a strong foundation so that it could grow into the vibrant and impactful ministry it is today. In addition to leading MOPS, Marsha also trained to become a Titus Woman and served in that capacity for the first 10 years of her MOPS ministry. Titus Women take seriously the calling in Titus 2:3-5, “to teach what is good and train the younger women,” and make it their life’s calling.

When her husband David retired five years ago, they moved to the city of Detroit and attend Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Detroit. She leads women’s Bible studies and tutors students in an afternoon program offered by Central Detroit Christian. Marsha and David love serving together in Detroit, leading Bible studies and getting to know their neighbors.

Marsha and David have just celebrated their fiftieth anniversary and have four married children and 14 grandchildren. Their golden retriever, Woodie, keeps them walking around their neighborhood to get exercise and, more importantly, to meet new neighbors.
