In these unprecedented days, Americans will unite and pray for the 70th annual observance of the National Day of Prayer on Thursday, May 6, 2021. This year’s theme, “Pour Out Your Love, Life, and Liberty”, from 2 Corinthians 3:17, “Now the Lord is Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.”
We all want to make the right decisions for our lives and our families’ lives. So, why does it sometimes seem so difficult to do? If we don’t really know what a bad decision looks like on the front end, we fail to foresee the unwelcome consequences of our decisions. In this series, which runs from April 11 to May 2, we will explore four of the worst decisions made in the Bible. By learning how to make bad decisions, we’ll gain insight on how to make good ones.
Artist Scott Erickson’s artwork “Stations in the Street” presents a stark and visceral representation of Christ’s journey to the cross. This art gallery is currently featured at Ward Church, just outside of the sanctuary. The collection will remain through Easter Sunday. View a virtual presentation here.
We invite you to partner with us financially through this year’s Easter Offering, as we work to identify, resource, and empower church planters to launch new church plants through the EPC’s Detroit Church Planting Network, and help existing church plants, Abundant Mercy Church and 5point7 Community Church, in their efforts to reach new people and have impact in their communities.
Have you been visiting Ward for a few months? A few weeks? Whether you’re just starting to explore the idea of church, or you’ve been growing in your relationship with Jesus for years but consider yourself new to Ward, this is the perfect first step!
