  • About our New App

Ward Church Featured 7 months ago

We’ve created an entirely new mobile experience for members and attendees of Ward Church! Our new app connects to your existing myWARD account which makes it easy to sign up for events, serving opportunities or to make gifts. It also allows us to tailor your app content to you and your family.

The app doesn’t recognize my phone number / email address. What do I do?

When you enter your mobile phone number or email address in order to login to the app, it is looking that information up in our church database. If we don’t have that information on file for you, then it won’t be able to match up with you. There could also be a typo involved on your end, or ours. If you have a myWARD account you can login using that username and password as well. If you have problems logging in with the app, please email jeff.mitchell@ward.church.

    Where is the live stream?

When there are events we are live streaming, they will automatically appear on your dashboard 15-minutes before the event begins.

Where are the Connect Card, Sermon Notes, Giving and Order of Service?

When there are events eligible to sign into on the Connect Card, a 2×2 grid of these 4 options will appear.

Giving is also always available from the menu drawer on the left side of the app, accessible by clicking the three stacked lines.

Your saved Sermon Notes are available from the “On-Demand Media” item in the menu drawer.

I don’t like these Sermon Notes as much as the other ones, can you bring the other ones back?

We hear you. The old sermon notes were a better overall experience. We are talking with our new developers in hopes of creating a similar experience at some point in the future.

Can I Chromecast or AirPlay On-Demand content?

Yes! You can AirPlay from an iOS device to an Apple TV or other AirPlay compatible hardware by using the Screen Mirroring function located in your iOS Control Center. You can Chromecast from an Android device to any chromecast hardware by using screen mirroring in the Google Home app. At this point in time, you are unable to Chromecast with an iOS device.

Can I check-in my kids to their WardKids and WardStudents events using the app?

Very soon we will be launching a feature called FastPass check-in. If your child is active in an eligible age/grade group in our system, you’ll see FastPass on your Dashboard whenever there is an event available for them to check-in to. Once you select their names from the list, the App will generate a QR code that you will scan at one of the existing physical check-in Kiosks. Labels will print within seconds of scanning your phone.

    Why did we switch apps?

Our old app was not integrated with our website or our church database. Our new app is inextricably linked to both of those. This allows you to sign up for events and opportunities, make donations, and much more with just a couple taps. When you sign in, content in the app is personalized based on your current and prior involvement at Ward Church.

We would love to hear any questions, comments or feedback on this new app. Fill out this form to let us know your thoughts.
